​​My name is C. Dunbar Henri and I am currently a teacher at Takoma Academy.

I have been blessed to work here since 1985 in various capacites from Religion Teacher, Religion Department Chair, Vice Principal and Principal.

I graduated from Beirut Overseas School in 1972 and then went to Middle East College from 1972-1973.

I then transferred to Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) where I attended from 1973-1975.

Then I transferred to Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) where I attended from 1975-1976, 1977-1979 graduating with a Religion Major and History, Theology and Secondary Education Minors.

In September of 1976 I joined the Heritage Singers and toured with them until December, 1977 - when I then returned to Oakwood College to complete my degree.

I was hired by the Potomac Conference in 1979 where I pastored until 1986 when I joined Takoma Academy full time.

I received my Master's of Divinity degree from Andrews University in 1983.



I am blessed to be married to Deborah Blaylock Henri whom I married on March 16, 1980 in Glendale, CA.  We have 2 beautiful children:  Cara, born in 1983 and Christopher, born in 1987.

Cara is married to Brian Wright and they live in San Antonio, Tx with their son - Carter and their daughter - Camryn.

Chris is married to Ashley and lives in Greenbelt, MD.

I have retired from full time teaching and only teach 2 sections of Senior Religion.

To add to my retirement funds - I drive Lyft and enjoy that in the early morning hours.
